Sunday Morning Mountain Gospel Music 111

Lord Lead Me On
Written by Marion W. Easterling, sung by Carl Story and the Rambling Mountaineers

Lord Lead Me On

When the way seems dark and long
As I pass amid the throng
Hold to my hand dear Lord I pray
Give me grace to shout and shine
Ever in the life divine
Lord lead me on from day to day

Lord lead me on from day to day
I want to walk the holy way
Oh friends forsake me all along
I asked the Lord to lead me on

In this world of doubt and gloom
When all flowers fail to bloom
Hold to my hand dear Lord I pray
I have put my faith in thee
'Til the homely hour shall be

Oh lead me on from day to day
I want to walk the holy way
Oh friends forsake me all along
I asked the Lord to lead me on

When old age is feeling on
And my strength is almost gone
Hold to my hand dear Lord I pray
Surely thou will n'er forsake
And in heaven I'll awake
Lord lead me on from day to day

Lord lead me on from day to day
I want to walk the holy way
Oh friends forsake me all along
I asked the Lord to lead me on

Sunday Morning Mountain Gospel Music 30

My Lord Keeps a Record
Carl Story, Mr. Story was born in Lenoir, North Carolina

My Lord Keeps a Record

What a wonderful beautiful picture I have
Of a place with out sorrow or fear
And I'm going to live in that city someday
For my days are all numbered down here

My Lord keeps a record
Of the moments I'm living down here
He knows all about me
all my troubles, my sorrows, my fears
I'm living each moment
through the mercies of God's loving grace
Some day he will call me
To that wonderful beautiful place

Now I want to be doing the will of my Lord
As I travel this weary some land
So I'll not be ashamed of my record up there
When I stand at my Saviors right hand

My Lord keeps a record
Of the moments I'm living down here
He knows all about me
all my troubles, my sorrows, my fears
I'm living each moment
through the mercies of God's loving grace
Some day he will call me
To that wonderful beautiful place
