The Appalachians: The Scot-Irish

Here is a wonderful documentary on the Scot-Irish and their history in Appalachia. To often, they are not mentioned as part of the 'mix' of the mixed bloods of Southern Appalachia.

I guess they ain't 'exotic' enough, to often we hear the myth of Portuguese and Spanish heritage when the truth is, there is more Scot-Irish blood running though the veins of the mixed bloods, than any other European nationality / ethnic group.
