New DNA results for Melungin Descendant Canine Baby

Here's a first. Historic Melungin descendent Libby Bunch Smiddy, takes her Genetic Genealogy seriously.
Libby 'walks her talk' when she states 'our pups are just like one of the family'.

Libby had her little 'mixed blood' puppy, Molly, DNA tested at Mars Veterinary 'Wisdom Panel' .

This brings a few questions to mind:

1. Are ALL mixed blood canines now going to be called Melungin pups ?
2. Will Brent Kennedy claim that Rin Tin Tin and Lassie are 'famous Melungin pups' ?
3. Will the MHA now have 'Pup Unions' ?
4. Will Donald Yates and Elizabeth Hirschman claim Molly is Jewish ?
5. Will Joanne Pezzullo claim Molly is Cherokee, proven by DNA ?
6. Will Scott Preston Collins claim this test is terrier 'genocide' ?
7. Will Wayne Winkler now claim to be part Toy Poodle ?
8. Has Libby checked Molly for the Anatolian bump ?
9. Will Molly's raw data be able to be downloaded to GedMatch ?

Below are copies of Molly's DNA 'Papers'.......

Are we having fun yet ?
Hat tip to Franzi Collins for letting Libby know about this Canine DNA testing outfit

Don, we have laughed over this post for two days, and Molly loves the attention!

She also sends a Big Thank You to you too, Jack, but says she's mostly a "Mutt" like her "adopted" Mama. LOL

Don, I did think pure terrier of some sort from her appearance, but her first mixed match is a Skye Terrier, so it's there. I know she has Sheltie in her, she nips at my heels and "herds" me where she wants me to go.........as in to the treat box. ;-)) Thanks again for the great Blog, Molly sends you tons of licks and licks also to her Cousin Franzi, for telling us about this test!!!

  7. Speaking of Molly being smart, I sent her to the store to buy some Iceberg lettuce. She came back with Romaine and gave me the rundown on the many vitamins and minerals that are in Romaine, while Iceberg empty fodder! Go, Molly girl!

Hi Cousin Katy!! Molly is not only Appalachian, but a literate canine one who just read your posts and agrees completely! She says Romaine is much healthier than iceberg lettuce, LOL. She's also thrilled to have given you your laugh of the day! Much Love to our Cousin Katy, we hope you are doing great. Molly and her Mama Libby
