Sunday Morning Mountain Gospel Music 116

Be Not Afraid
Written by Jeannie C. Riley, sung by Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver

Be Not Afraid

Tossed to and fro the disciples were fearing
Their very lives they were lost out at sea
High winds were raging waves all around them
Then among storm fear not be at peace

He came to them walkin' on water and talkin'
Though they had known Him still they were afraid
Then Jesus spoke gently lo I am with thee
He ceased the winds and He settled the waves

Be not afra-id it's only the Master
Calming the storm removing all harm
Be of good che-er your Savior's here now
So be of good faith for I'm here to stay be not afraid

Once my ship was sinkin' twas the end I was thinking
For there was no life boat between me and the sea
Then the Lord in compassion put His love to action
Then His dear sweet hand in love lifted me

Be not afra-id it's only the Master
Calming the storm removing all harm
Be of good che-er your Savior's here now
So be of good faith for I'm here to stay be not afraid

So be of good faith for I'm here to stay be not afraid
